Grace Tankard is a creative director and cultural strategist. She reads culture and directs the work that responds on it, staying through production. The practice operates as a senior creative lead supported by a trusted network of directors, photographers, designers, strategists, and makers, assembled around each project.
Her work began in art direction after she studied Design in Sydney, with a scholarship year at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam. It now extends across brand identity, campaigns, environments, film, and cultural programming. As Creative Director at Portas Agency she worked closely with Mary Portas and senior client teams on brand philosophy and lived brand experience for Liberty London, Molton Brown, Church's, and Cult Beauty, among others.
Alongside client work, Grace writes about brand, media, and culture on Substack. She contributes to the McLuhan Institute seminars and the Nemesis Autonomous Strategy Lab, is an early member of CLO Circle, and as a member of Radar DAO won two of three Futurethon competitions. She sits on the board of The Old Church, Hackney, helping reposition the historic venue as a cultural space for sound, experimentation, and connection.
Available for cultural advisory, brand strategy, creative and art direction. Based in London.
